The Junglecats' second full length album "Great Kills" is a slight departure from their very bluesy and 60's starting point. While still keeping the blues and beach vibes ever-present, they've introduced several vintage keyboard and Mellotron samples into this workset. A one-off custom keyboard was built entirely for experimentation with this album, and though it is featured in nearly every track, it is certainly tucked neatly where it belongs rather than blatantly exploited. The tempo and mood of "Great Kills" varies greatly throughout and offers a wide range of feelings, all inspired by the acts of the 60's and 70's. From the upbeat and driving rock sounds of "Taking Aim" to the somber and drifting "Falling In", this album brings it all out.
